United Airlines Neon Walkway
Cropping makes a difference

<< back

If you ever traveled through Chicago's O'Hare Airport, chances are you experienced the United Airlines underground walkway designed by Helmut Jahn. A long tunnel with a moving walkway, it offers a kinetic sculpture of light and sound. The dynamic walkway displays a variety of shapes and choices for viewing angles and cropping. When cropping an image to a panoramic format, the perspective does not change (it does not become more wide angle) it only changes the aspect ratio of length to width.
